Crazy Night

Last night I had one of the craziest experiences of my entire life to date. Well, it was definitely on one of the top ten. My wife, her terminally ill grandmother, and myself were sitting in our living room watching TV last night when the grandmother, Marie, started chocking. So, that's when the panic set in! Noelle had no idea of what to do and obviously Marie was going to be no help.

So, I jumped up and performed the Heimlich maneuver. Now, this was the first time in my life that I've ever had to do such a thing, and I should thank my fourth grade science teacher (Mrs. Murry) for making that lesson stick. Luckily, Marie survived and the night continued from there slightly rattled but intact. I think I may have actually squeezed a little life back into Marie, because she was quite a bit livelier after the whole experience.

What's the lesson? Learn the Heimlich while you still can!
