Memory Box?!


Yu Zhao has some very interesting ideas that combine design and philosophy. One great example is the Bad Memory Box pictured above. The idea behind the box is to give you a place to hide your bad feelings in plain site, since we hardly let them show anyway. :D

Bad memory box intend to go against with our “dishonest” consumptions, which often take furniture as a status symbol for showing wealthy and tastes. Instead, it cares more about the nature of our emotion states.
It’s a storage box for your bad memories or unwanted things but still have meanings for you which you don’t want to discard and destroy, but also don’t want to see the details of them. So block them inside! Show the scar outside.
