I've been thinking about taking some online courses over the past six months or so, and in my browsing through college websites I decided to look at what
Brown Career College had to offer. At first the Brown Career College website looked really promising, the site has a lot of info about enrollment, financial aid, the programs they offer, a school history, some basic information about their online course program, and even a section of the site where prospective students can fill out an application. Pretty cool right? Well, that's what I thought too until I read on their site that only students enrolled in a full time degree programs are eligible. So the search was back on.
My next stop was at the site for
Harrington College of Design. Since I am a web designer I thought I'd check it out to see what Harrington had to offer. Well, I was definitely disappointed, Harrington College of Design wasn't focusing on web design. Oh no, Harrington College of Design is a school who's focus is interior design, photography, and communication design. So, I didn't find anything I could use at Harrington College of Design, so I was off again. I will say, however, the Harrington has a very nice website, loaded with features. They even had live chat on the site, which I am a huge fan of.
Lastly in my search for online college courses was
Missouri Medical School. Obviously not the right choice for me, even though it appears as though Missouri Medical School does offer some programs that don't involve surgery, like medical billing and insurance courses, I don't think I really want to change careers just yet. :) But, I still wanted to share what I found because Missouri Medical does have a nice site, with good resources thats relatively easy to use.
