More Modern Chairs

Here's another modern modular chair, the Random. It does have a few options in how it can be configured, but random is a little over stated. Here's what the designer had to say about it.

A modular seat system that allows the user to convert the furniture in to different seating solutions such as single easy chairs or wider sofas. The user can vary the arm-rests and assemble them in the middle of a sofa module. Different types of fabrics can be used on arm-rests and seats. The modular system also includes corners and angles. Chassis in chromium or silver lacquered.

The Red Chair

Now, I'm not too sure if the The Red Chair is actually functional, but it does look fairly interesting. The Red Chair is made from seven lacquered steel sticks and was originally shown in the “Five playful chairs” exhibition in 2005. The red chair was made in a limited edition of ten chairs totally and has been acquired by the prestigious Nationalmusem in Stockholm and The Röhsska Museum of Design and Decorative Arts in Gothenburg.

Modern Furniture

For those of you who have checked out my site, I carry a lot of classical, mission style furniture. So, when I saw some really interesting modern furniture at Concept furniture I thought I'd share my appreciation with you. Their collections look really nice, clean lines and curves are always nice to see in a sofa or chair. modern furniture almost always has that sleek look that sets it apart from other lines.

I was especially impressed with the television stands on the site. They were very minimalist, but provided a nice support. I also liked the blending of the various materials in the tv stands. Glass, wood, and metal combine to form a great piece of furniture. Check out the site and feel fee to leave some feed back.
